L&E INSTALLATION 2011
This fantastic piece of work is hanging on the Neurophysiology ground floor corridor in the new Manchester Royal Infirmary on Oxford Road in Manchester. The work is part of a larger exhibition which represents four cultural groups, Islamic, African, Chinese and Caucasian and was the result of an Arts Council funded project enabling Lime Arts’ writer in residence Chanje Kunda to work with four visual artists. Together they interpreted words produced in workshops with hospital staff into this amazing visual art exhibition.Response from the hospital population and numerous visitors from around the UK and abroad has been very positive indeed. The work is stunning and the concept of bringing people and cultures together in this way is a good model for other similar hospital based artwork.
